Cameron

I have viewed your video on the Shuggy Training Aid and it seems to be the answer to my driving weakness in that I struggle for distance and accuracy.
I would like to purchase it and request how to do this.
Your emails are always welcome to keep me focussed on my golf.

I'm curious why you haven't mentioned how much the Shuggy will cost.

G'day Brendan,

The idea with an 'objective' based aid is that your subconscious will work it out for you. You have to free up and let it do the hard work.

During testing even low handicappers had trouble swinging through the gate. High handicappers couldn't get close.

With some practice people get better. Their swings change naturally and their driving improves. The Shuggy has been designed to be difficult...but not impossible. Shuggy was keen to make it even harder ... I had to hold him back a little bit :)

The closed eyes drill gets most people. I have been using this for a few months now and can get it through most times with my eyes closed.

The Shuggy is high. It has been built with modern drivers in mind. Most golfers tee it up too low. To be a good driver you need to contact the tee up near the top during impact. The Shuggy teaches you to do this.

Yes, I have lovely white legs and a bit of a gut :) I have lost three kilos but still need some work. Thanks for your great observation :)

Let me know if I can help further.

Hi Cameron, don`t you think the shuggy is too high. At address, you wouldn`t be holding the club that high above the ground. Was wondering what you do if after much practice, you can`t find the gate. I`m not the world`s best sportmans & struggle on a 21 handicap. Nice legs in the video & who owns the stomach?

Hi Cameron, must reply as I have a very similar problem, slice & very short off the tee, though I`m a higher handicapper, out to 21 now. I`m a real sucker for training aids, especially after all the lessons over the years that haven`t worked. Have been using the power stool for a couple of months with no real improvement. Will another training aid help? Not been a natural sports person, I can really struggle. What if I just can`t get my brain to work out how to find the gap? No pro to date has been able to cure my out to in swing. I don`t expect miracles but am sceptical. Love my golf & would probably give anything a go. Thanks for the opportunity to reply.

Hi Clive,

Thanks for your comment.

Yes, it will help you approach the ball on an ideal path. You get accurate feedback on the shots you don't do correctly. When you learn to automate this swing your slice will be reduced or even eliminated.

You will also learn to give the ball a solid hit right out of the sweet spot. This will automatically give you extra metres.

Shuggy is going ok...

Thanks,

Cameron Strachan

Cameron ....thanks for sending this information through and I hope your brother is recovering well from his accident...

Do you think this device could help reduce my slice and help me hit the ball further? I currently play off a handicap of 11 but really want to improve particularly off the tee.

p.s. I liked your Power Stool - it was simple and easy to use.

I look forward to your response.

Cheers
