I tried this on Saturday. Decided to try and preset for all chip and bunker shots. My main problem is getting the shot right when I don't have a perfect lie or it's a bit more than just a basic 6 iron chip.Usually lob wedges are a nightmare. Have to say that my shots pretty well all came off. I had a lot of up and downs which gave me great confidence.
Next week I think i'll try with some of my tee shots as well. Been having a probelm lately of hitting drives low into the rough in front of tees. Not topping the ball just hitting really low. Did it 3 times at the weekend. So that was 15 good holes and 3 disasters !

Yes absolutely. You can pre-set on all shots if you feel the need. I almost always pre-set on the first drive of the day. It helps relax and get comfortable with the shot at hand.

Bunker shots work well because you can see the footprints - but you definitely should try and use this concept on any shot that gives you some trouble.

Let me know how you get on.

You talk about pre-setting, which I understand in relation to bunker shots because you can move away and see your ball position etc. But in this case it appears that Evan stands by the ball but what does this accomplish. Is it just to get a feel of the shot or is it to rehearse ball position as with bunkers.
