Hi Barry,

Are you getting good results on the practice fairway?

If so then you need to really focus on automating your game. It sounds easy, and it is, but it can take a while for the results to kick in.

Like "swinging too quickly" I'm not sure you have identified your fault correctly. I think you have black spots in your swing - this happens when you sort of short circuit. Your brain gets overloaded with info and you have a short circuit. Happens when you are trying too hard and thinking too much about the swing.

Have you attempted to swing freely on the range? And then hit the course with the same swing?

I truly believe if you can think less & find your natural swing you'll discover a better and more reliable golf game.

Please let me know how you get on.

I guess the problem I have is that I start my back swing OK, but then accelerate and start the downswing before I complete the backswing. This is what I can't control-just a nightmare off the tee as I spray the ball around or sometimes hardly connect at all
This problem gets worse as the irons get longer and especially with woods. To combat it I have taken to using my 4 Hybrid off the tee but then have a problem reaching the greens on par fours or getting around corners or over some creeks on the course
