		<description>Hi Cam,
I play the same way and get myself in the crap with being to aggreesive. On Sat I played AT Narrandera off the back plates. Shot 78 ( iahven&#039;t broken 80 in 13 outings) and did it easy. The reason being is that I played that whole course with my gentle fade. Yes a fade. I pro who had given over 1000&#039;s lessons told me I fade the ball. I thought crap I usually snap hook it. But once I tried to stop playing straight/draw, fidddling with my swing out on the course and just play naturally it all came together. This is a great lesson to learn is try and gamble now and again but only when the odds are more in your favour.
I&#039;ll keep in touch.
Cheers

		<description>Prydie / Cam

Great question Prydie. Cam - I am currently trying to play much more gently right the way through the bag at the moment in an attempt to lessen the pressure on my back. I would be interested to hear your comments.

		<description>Cam,
How about telling us your thought processes as you attempt a new swing and then take it to automatic.
I recall you saying that one should hit about 3 conscious thinking shots when practising something new and then go automatic with it for 3 or so shots.
In your case belting the ball is &#039;natural&#039; for you so altering this on certain occasions could be seen as going against what is your normal game. I think this needs some explaining particularly as you encourage us to go auto. I know it is different for you at your level but some of us do like to try things in the continuous pursuit for improvement and stability in our swing - is this not what you are doing right now, striving to improve on your plus 3 handicap?
I repeat, what are your thought processes currently?
Do you talk to yourself before you cross that approach line to the ball?
Do you say I must swing at x% of normal power with a slower swing or shorter swing and then walk up?
Are you counting or thinking of something different.
I am sure all of us ?devotees would like to hear these thoughts.
