Hi Cam,
expectations and addition to find out what you need to shoot is a major distraction. When it all goes to hell in a handbag we become defensive and make up bs stories as to why we shot what we did. I'm glad I'm not the only one to have gone through this.
If it is of help to anybody, when ever I'm distracted, doubt my decision, don't feel right over the shot,I put the club back in the bag, go through my routine again and pull the trigger. It takes a lot of guts, discipline and mental toughness to do it. However the results and mindset are better for 2 reasons.
1. You have given yourself the best oppurtunity to hit the shot that you know is required. There is no thinking "If only I had of ...."
2. The result is proberbly 100% better than standing over the ball paraylised by fear, doubt or anxiety.
I hope this helps. Remember scars are found on heroes not cowards. It takes guts and self discipline to walk away from a shot when you are not comfortable.
Cheers Steady
PS Cam will ring on Monday regarding video.

@Lukey: Thanks for posting. The Club Championships finished a few weeks ago. But you'll have to keep reading to see what happens :)

Talk soon,

Hi Cam
Good to see for the majority of the round you managed to stick to auto and as you have said how easy it can be to be distracted.I am glad to say that for the majority of my round yesterday I was able to stay auto but through in a nine on one hole.Though I did try to stay positive and play auto ,I realised I made poor decisions (ie.put it on the short stuff) and payed the penalty.Valuable lesson learnt. Will continue to follow your progress and wish you well for the rest of the championships.
Cheers Lukey
